Gato Barbieri - The Last Tango in Paris

As I put the batteries so that one day be able to write film music continue posting for all boys.

So, combining my two great loves, I'll talk about Gato Barbieri and soundtrack of "The last Tango in Paris " (1972) by Bernardo Bertolucci.

Perhaps the best film by Bertolucci (do not forget the Last Emperor, Novecento or Moon), is nevertheless a great example of visual display, with a beautiful narrative that had to be seasoned with a great soundtrack that keeps track of the film.

Mira sexy boy!!
Bertolucci, Brando and Barbieri joined in Paris, in a place where you can lose your dream. The film may not be the best in the world, but is a great example of film balance ( critical review). A great example of how the film uses other arts such as image or music and makes itself a universe.

But I want to talk right now is the soundtrack, Gato Barbieri is a legendary Argentine saxophonist. In Paris (oh so many beautiful town meetings) The Late Show with Don Cherry, then start to handle many more experimental sounds placed it at the forefront of jazz. Albums like The Pampero (1971) or "Symphony For Improvisers" (1966), are clear evidence of fusion jazz talent. The influence of Latin rhythms is something characteristic of all his work.

In "Last Tango", Barbieri creates a great composition Latino rhythms of Tango, orchestra and tossed with bits of jazz. All this unique combination that reminds us how we find the ultimate love in a dirty apartment in Paris.
